Right of Withdrawal
Under international consumer protection frameworks and European Union regulations, private buyers have the legal right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 calendar days of taking physical possession of the goods, without stating a specific reason.
To initiate a formal withdrawal, written notification must be submitted to DAB Motors within the 14-day cancellation window. Following notification, the vehicle and all accompanying items must be dispatched back to our French facility within 14 days.
Standard Commercial Conditions for Returns
To preserve full refund eligibility, returned vehicles and components must be handled solely to the extent necessary to establish their identity, operational characteristics, and functionality.
- Pre-Return Technical Inspection: Every returned vehicle undergoes thorough diagnostic testing of the electric powertrain, battery management system (BMS), and frame structure.
- Depreciation & Usage Deductions: Any valuation loss stemming from handling beyond essential functional checks—including visible surface scratches, road wear, unapproved software modifications, or component disassembly—will be calculated and deducted from the final refund amount.
- Exclusions for Custom Built Vehicles: In accordance with legal standards, the right of withdrawal does not apply to bespoke motorcycles, custom configurator builds, personalized colorways, or limited collaboration editions manufactured strictly to individual buyer specifications.
International Return Logistics & Freight Responsibility
Unless expressly agreed upon in writing prior to shipment, the customer or commercial buyer assumes full financial responsibility for return freight costs, international customs duties, export documentation, and cargo insurance.
Risk of loss or transit damage remains with the sender until DAB Motors issues a signed receipt upon delivery at our French manufacturing site.
Refund Disbursement & Verification Timelines
Once a returned unit passes physical inspection at our technical facility:
- DAB Motors will reimburse all primary purchase payments received for the product, excluding non-standard express delivery fees requested by the buyer during initial order placement.
- Reimbursements are issued using the identical payment channel utilised during the original transaction, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
- Reimbursement may be withheld until physical delivery and technical verification of the vehicle have been finalized by DAB Motors engineers.
- Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days post-verification.
